Wisconsin Rescue vs. Adpotion

If it looks like a Pitbull it probably is. American Pitbull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier are seen the most. The more common Wisconsin Pitbull street names are “red nose” or “blue nose.” Breed specific rescues can get real specific try not to get caught up in that. If you are getting a young Pitbull puppy from a rescue you are adopting, if you are getting a Pitbull in distress on your own without the help of a rescue you are rescuing. It matters. If you do not have any Pit bull rescue experience and you thinking about getting a Pit bull please adopt your first one especially so if it is your first dog. If you are thinking Pitbull puppy it is just like any other puppy dog, puppies are puppies. An adult is a totally different story, you will have your hands full either way an abused dog is an abused dog, an aggressive dog is an aggressive dog.
Pitbulls are a good rescue option because they are not now, and never have been human aggressive. The problem is most Pitbulls are dog aggressive unless you get them as puppies then they are what you teach them, just like any other puppy.
Don’t set yourself up to fail unless you have a lot of energy and drive is a good leader and stick to commitments, don’t get a Pitbull. Most Pitbulls only get one chance at life if you get a pitbull and it does not work out the chances are very high the dog will be killed.
